WINE
Wine, Wine, Wine...The Western Cape Region and its delicious wines are becoming more the recognition they deserve.

The Cape winelands are some of the most scenic and beatiful in the world. The wine tourism is booming in recent years and is one of South Africa’s fastest growing industries. Remarkably, South Africa has the largest number of Fairtrade certified wineries in the world and the biggest single Fairtrade accredited project worldwide was launched at Du Toitskloof Cellar in Rawsonville in the Western Cape. Normally, when people thinking of the Cape Winelands, first Stellenbosch, Paarl, Wellington and Franschhoek come to their minds. However, over the past years South African wine has undergone a whole new momentum. An emerging ethos of young and creative producers has taken the local wine industry into the global arena. South African wine has come of age and is now competing with the world best wine areas. A whole new generation of winemakers has appeared and there has been a shift from grape farming to wine growing. The Western Cape have around 2,700 Wine Grape Farmers, 45 Producer Cellars, 460 Private Wine Cellars.

Together these two have restored a neglected cellar on the farm that was last used in the 1930′s to make natural wines in the traditional manner.
Belly of the Beast | Creative South African Cuisine | Best value for money
This is our favorite., also when it comes to wine. The restaurant is for us the best in Cape Town looking at value for money. It is a very creative cuisine with changing menu and very good wine pairing. The two chef's Anouchka Horn and Neil Swart source from local sustainable producers and use every part of the animal. You can expect some dishes that might test your boundaries, but there is always a certain balance so that everyone will enjoy the experience. Lunch Menu: 500 ZAR for a 4 course menu.
